The death occurred at Altair, Broadstone Park, Inverness, on Sunday 18th April, of Mr John Campbell, a well known timber merchant, who was a native of Dalry, and the father-in-law of Mr R Latta, of Craigadam, Kirkpatrick Durham.
Mr Campbell was in his 72nd year, having been born at Dalry on Christmas Day, 1854. He married a daughter of the late Mr Graham of Trowdale, by whom he is survived, with two daughters, Mrs Latta, Craigadam, and Mrs Waddell, whose husband is associated with Lochaber Power Scheme.
